MRI PROSTATE WORKSHOPS
The MRI Prostate workshops are limited to 40 attendees. They are held twice yearly, once in French (December), once in English (April).
- The French workshop takes place on one day (Friday)
- The English workshop over two days.
They include short theoretical presentations representing 40% of the time and involve numerous clinical cases that participants study on the workstations available to them.
Interactivity is ensured by a system of questions and answers between speakers and participants, with answers given by electronic vote, to assess the learning curve improvement through the duration of the MRI Prostate workshop.
Founded in 2003 by Drs Didier Bonnel and François Cornud, the UDRI aims to promote diagnostic and interventional prostate MRI.
Prostate MRI is now recommended before biopsy to localize focal suspicious areas requiring a targeted biopsy. Expertise is required to assign the right PI-RADS score to a focal lesion detected on MRI.
The interventional program includes MRI-targeted prostate biopsies and in bore MRI-guided focal laser ablation of prostate cancer.
